Parents as Teachers is designed to enhance child development and school achievement through parent education. PAT provides in-home visits, family events, parenting information, and child screenings throughout the school year. Parents as Teachers believes that the parents are the first and most important teachers of their children. The program provides families with information, support, and encouragement that parents need to help their children develop optimally during the early years of life.
