The purpose of the Early Childhood Developmental Screening Program is to provide developmental screenings to support the early detection of social-emotional and developmental delays and family risk-related factors in children, and coordinate referrals, interventions and follow-up services in order to

improve outcomes for healthy growth and development of children in Muscatine County. 

Through the Early Childhood Developmental Screening program, Public Health staff that have received appropriate training from a qualified facilitator that is employed within the organization will, in partnership with ECIMC, offer developmental screenings to all children receiving preschool and daycare

scholarships in Muscatine County.
